Stevens Auction Company will
open the year 2008 with another landmark antique auction. On Friday, January 18th, we’ll
offer approximately 200 select items from a magnificent and beautiful, Long
Island, NY estate. The evening’s
inventory will include the entire contents of that estate: wondrous and rare, Victorian light fixtures as
well as stunning antique furnishings, lamps, rugs, works of art, glassware,
plus numerous rare collectibles.
On Saturday, January 19th,
we’ll come back to the block to offer another exceptionally large collection of
Belter, Meeks, Mitchell & Rammelsberg, and A. Roux furnishings, much in the
same vein as our 2007 summer extravaganza.
These items come to us from a composite of four estates and private
collectors. From a rare, Rosewood,
Belter Bed with cupid crown to a Strong Pattern, Belter sofa, to a matched pair
of Meeks, marble top, parlor tables, to a Belter Méridienne with Scalamandre upholstery, this auction
will no doubt break records and set the pace for an incredible year of
fantastic antique auctions. It will be
one of the most exciting auctions ever.

There will be an early preview party at the auction facility on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with entertainment and refreshments.
